Cola, Vimto & Fizzy Drink Vapes — What Actually Tastes Right in Pakistan

Cola vapes are weirdly divisive.

Some people I know refuse to touch anything fizzy-flavoured — they say it tastes like cough syrup or a melted popsicle. Others (me, honestly) will go through a 6000-puff Regal in four days if it's a proper cola ice. So when a customer in Karachi messaged me last month asking which fizzy drink flavour was worth his 3,500 rupees, I realised I'd never actually written this down properly.

So here we go. Cola, Vimto, soda — what's good, what's mid, and what I've stopped recommending.

Why fizzy drink vapes are harder to nail than fruit

Here's the thing about recreating a cola or Vimto flavour in vape form. It's not one note. A real Coke has vanilla, cinnamon, citrus peel, caramel, and that sharp phosphoric bite all layered together. Vimto? Even worse — grapes, blackcurrants, raspberries, and a bunch of herbs you can't even pronounce.

Fruit vapes are easy. Mango is mango. But a cola vape has to convince your brain it's fizzy without actually being fizzy. That's a chemistry problem, not a flavour problem.

I used to think this was impossible. Genuinely. The first cola disposable I tried (won't name it, but it was a cheap 2000-puff thing someone sent me from Dubai in 2022) tasted like burnt sugar water. Put me off the whole category for about a year.

Then IVG's cola came through and I had to admit I was wrong. Not perfect — nothing is — but close enough that I stopped being a snob about it.

About 47% of the fizzy-flavour orders we ship from the IVG 8K range are cola or cola ice variants. That surprised me. I thought mango and mint would dominate forever. But cola drinkers are loyal in a way fruit vapers aren't — once someone finds a cola they like, they don't switch.

What a good cola vape should actually taste like

Sweetness upfront. Then a bite. Then that cool vanilla-caramel finish that lingers for a second after you exhale. If you get syrupy sweetness and nothing else, it's a bad recipe. If it burns your throat on the third puff, the coil is dry or the nicotine's too aggressive for the flavour profile.

The 35mg nic salt in the IVG 8K works well for cola because salt nic delivers smoother than freebase — you get the flavour without the harshness that would clash with all that sweetness. On the 8K specifically, the dual mesh coil is doing a lot of the work here. Mesh heats evenly, so you don't get that scorched-sugar taste you sometimes get with older cotton coils.

Cola ice is the safer bet for Pakistani weather, honestly. Karachi in June, sitting in traffic on Shahrah-e-Faisal, you want that menthol kick behind the cola. Straight cola without ice is better for winter — Islamabad, Murree, when it's actually cold and you want something warming and dessert-like.

Vimto — the flavour Pakistanis actually grew up drinking

Vimto is a whole other conversation.

I don't think British brands realised how huge Vimto is in Pakistan and the Gulf until pretty recently. Every iftar table from Lahore to Multan has a jug of it in Ramadan. Kids grow up on it. So when a vimto vape flavor lands here, it's not competing with some abstract idea of a soft drink — it's competing with a memory.

That's a high bar.

What I've found is that the Vimto-inspired flavours in the IVG Regal 6000 range come closest. The Regal has a 12ml capacity and 500mAh rechargeable battery, so you're not burning through the flavour too fast — Vimto specifically needs that slow, steady draw to layer properly. Rip through it and all you taste is grape. Take your time and the blackcurrant and raspberry notes come out.

Priced at Rs.3,499, the Regal is what I recommend to first-time buyers who want to try a Vimto-style flavour without committing to a full pod system. If they hate it, they've lost less than what they'd spend on a decent lunch at a cafe in DHA.

Look, I'll be honest. No vape tastes exactly like the Vimto you remember drinking as a kid. That's not the point. The point is whether it captures the essence — the deep berry sweetness, the slight herbal edge, that unmistakable purple-red flavour. And on that measure, it works.

Soda flavours and why they're underrated

Now soda. Plain fizzy soda, lemon-lime soda, cream soda — these are the quiet performers.

The soda vape Pakistan market is smaller than cola or Vimto, but the people who buy soda flavours are usually the most experienced vapers. They've been through the mango phase, the mint phase, the tobacco phase. They want something clean that doesn't dominate their palate all day.

Lemon-lime soda pairs really well with coffee, which is why I keep one in rotation for mornings. Cream soda is dessert-tier — I'd only recommend it if you also like vanilla custard flavours. Plain club soda flavour is rare but genuinely refreshing when you find it done right.

The IVG Pro Pods system carries some of the more interesting soda variants. 10,000+ puffs per session, auto-fill pods, 33 flavours to choose from across the range. Not all 33 are fizzy — most are fruit and menthol — but the soda-style options in there are where the R&D team seems to have had the most fun.

What I'd actually buy if I had 4,000 rupees

Straight answer. If a friend gave me 4,000 rupees and told me to buy one fizzy-flavour disposable to test, I'd get the IVG 8K in cola ice at Rs.3,999. 8000 puffs, USB-C rechargeable so the battery doesn't die before the juice runs out (which used to be my biggest complaint about disposables), adjustable airflow if you want a tighter or looser draw, and a small digital screen showing battery and e-liquid levels.

The screen sounds gimmicky. It's not. I got caught out twice last year finishing meetings with a vape I thought was full and it turned out I was on fumes. Screen fixes that.

If I only had 3,500, I'd go Regal 6000 in a Vimto-style berry flavour. If I had 3,000, I'd grab a bottle of IVG Intense Salts at Rs.2,999 in a cola or fizzy berry variant and use it with a pod system I already own — better value long term, but only if you already have hardware.

For someone completely new to vaping, I'd steer them toward the Regal first. Simpler. No settings to fiddle with. Just draw and go.

A note on shipping and COD

We ship nationwide with cash on delivery. Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad usually 2-3 days. Peshawar, Quetta, smaller cities like Sukkur or Bahawalpur — closer to 4 days. Had an order go to a village outside Larkana last month that took 5 days because the courier had to hand it off to a local rider, but it got there and the customer paid on delivery no drama.

Free returns if you get a defective unit. Not if you just don't like the flavour — we can't resell opened vapes, hope that's fair.

FAQ

Does cola vape taste like real Coca-Cola?

Close but not identical. You get the vanilla-caramel-citrus profile, but obviously there's no actual carbonation. Cola ice variants add menthol which some people say makes it feel more "fizzy" mentally. Best I've tried in Pakistan is the IVG 8K cola ice.

Is Vimto vape flavour halal-friendly?

The flavourings themselves don't contain alcohol in the IVG range — they're PG/VG based with food-grade flavour concentrates. If this matters to you, always check the specific product listing or message us before ordering. We're straight with people about ingredients.

Which lasts longer, IVG 8K or Regal 6000 for cola flavour?

8K obviously has more puffs — 8000 vs 6000 — and a bigger battery you can recharge via USB-C. The Regal is rechargeable too but has a smaller 500mAh cell. If you're a heavy vaper doing 300+ puffs a day, get the 8K. If you're a social vaper, Regal is enough and saves you 500 rupees.

Can I mix nic salt flavours like cola with fruit?

You can, but I wouldn't with cola specifically. It overpowers most fruit notes. Vimto blends nicely with berry salts though — try it 70/30 Vimto to raspberry. That's a combo I've been running for weeks now and it hasn't got old yet.
