OXVA Sq Pro 2: The Pod Nobody's Talking About (But Should Be)
Three weeks. That's how long the OXVA Sq Pro 2 has been in my pocket.
And I keep forgetting to charge it. Which, honestly, is the highest compliment I can give a pod system. Most devices I test, I'm plugging in by lunchtime. This one? I charge it every other night and it just keeps going.
So let's talk about why nobody in Pakistan seems to be talking about the Sq Pro 2 — even though it deserves way more attention than it's getting.
What Actually Makes the Sq Pro 2 Different
Quick context first. OXVA isn't new to Pakistan. The Xlim series did numbers — Xlim Pro at Rs.5,099, Xlim Go at Rs.3,499, both moved fast off our shelves. But the Sq Pro 2 is a different animal.
It's square. Boxy. Looks almost like a tiny mod from 2018 but in a good way — solid in the hand, not slippery like the Xlim. The grip matters more than you'd think. I dropped my Xlim Pro twice in the first week (Karachi auto-rickshaw, don't ask). The Sq Pro 2 hasn't slipped once.
Battery is 1200mAh. That's the number that actually matters here. The Xlim Pro sits at 1000mAh. Argus G3 Mini at 1350mAh. So the Sq Pro 2 lands right in that range where you get a real full day of vaping — and I mean heavy vaping, not the polite 200-puffs-a-day stuff brands advertise.
Type-C charging at 2A. So if you do run it flat, you're back to full in about 35 minutes. Not 45. Not an hour. I timed it.
The pod itself holds 3ml of e-liquid, which doesn't sound like much until you realise the airflow is properly tuneable. You can run it as a tight MTL (mouth-to-lung, like a cigarette draw) or open it up for a restricted DL. I run mine somewhere in between with 35mg salts and I'm getting roughly 2 days per pod fill. Your mileage will vary — if you're chain-vaping in Lahore winter traffic, expect less.
Who This Is Actually For (And Who Should Skip It)
Here's the thing. I got this wrong when I first started stocking the Sq Pro 2. I was pitching it as a beginner pod. Bad call.
It's not a beginner device. The adjustable wattage (up to 30W), the coil swaps, the airflow ring — there's stuff to learn here. If you're brand new to vaping and you just want something that works out of the box, get the IVG 8K disposable or the Xlim Go. Both will treat you right.
But if you've been vaping for a while — maybe you started on disposables, moved up to a basic pod, and now you're tired of replacing devices every couple of months — the Sq Pro 2 is the upgrade you actually want.
Why? Because the coils are good. Mesh, the flavour holds up across a full tank, and you can swap between a 0.4ohm and a 0.6ohm depending on whether you want more clouds or more battery life. I've been running the 0.6 with IVG Intense Salts in Watermelon Ice 35mg and the flavour is honestly better than any disposable I've tested this year.
That's a real opinion, by the way. I'm not just saying it because we sell the salts. The Sq Pro 2 hits flavour notes that disposables blur over. Top notes are clearer. The cooling on menthol blends is sharper. I noticed it most with the mango — you can actually taste the mango variety, not just "sweet yellow fruit."
The Price Conversation Nobody Wants to Have
Look, I'll be straight with you. The Sq Pro 2 isn't the cheapest pod we stock. Refillable pod systems are an investment — you're paying more upfront and saving over months.
Run the maths with me quickly. A decent disposable in Pakistan runs Rs.2,500 to Rs.4,000 and lasts you anywhere from 5 to 12 days depending on usage. Say you're a moderate user — that's roughly Rs.8,000 a month on disposables. Maybe more.
Sq Pro 2 + a bottle of IVG Intense Salts (30ml at Rs.2,999) gets you through about 3-4 weeks of normal use. The device itself you only buy once. Replacement coils are cheap. Suddenly you're spending Rs.3,500 a month instead of Rs.8,000+.
That's a 56% reduction. And the experience is better, not worse.
But — and this is the honest part — refillable pods take a tiny bit of effort. You have to fill them. You have to swap coils every couple of weeks. You have to clean the pod connector occasionally. If that sounds like too much, stick with disposables, no judgement. I have customers in Islamabad who've been on the IVG Regal 6000 for over a year and they're happy. Different strokes.
The Stuff I Don't Love
I'm not gonna sit here and tell you it's perfect. It's not.
The screen is small. Functional, but small. You're not getting fancy graphics — just wattage, battery, puff count. Fine for me, but if you're coming from a Voopoo with a colour display, it'll feel basic.
The pod connection is magnetic, which is great — until you're filling it and the magnet catches a bit of e-liquid. Wipe the contacts. It's a small annoyance, not a deal-breaker, but worth knowing.
Also, the airflow ring is a little stiff out of the box. Mine loosened up after a week of fiddling with it, but the first few days I thought it was stuck. It's not. Just give it a firm twist.
One more thing — colour options in Pakistan are limited right now. We're getting more in over the next shipment, but if you want a specific shade, message us before ordering. We'll tell you what's actually in the warehouse instead of what the website might show.
How It Compares to What Else We Stock
If you're choosing between the Sq Pro 2 and the OXVA Xlim Pro (Rs.5,099), the Sq Pro 2 wins on battery and grip. The Xlim Pro wins on slim profile and pocket-ability. Both have great coils.
Against the Voopoo Argus G3 Mini (Rs.3,199), the Argus is cheaper and has a bigger battery, but the Sq Pro 2 has better airflow control and (in my opinion) cleaner flavour. The Argus is louder, almost rattling when you shake it. The Sq Pro 2 feels more premium in the hand.
Against the Vaporesso Luxe Q2 SE (Rs.4,499) — the Luxe is more refined-looking, smaller, easier to slip into a shirt pocket. But it's also more fragile. I've had three customers in Karachi crack the Luxe panel. Zero broken Sq Pro 2s reported back to me yet.
If I had to pick one as my daily driver for the next six months? Sq Pro 2. No question. And I used to push the Xlim Pro as my top recommendation — that's changed.
Ordering, COD, the Usual
We ship the Sq Pro 2 nationwide. Cash on delivery works in pretty much every major city — Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad. Smaller cities too, just sometimes takes an extra day.
Standard delivery is 3-4 working days. We had a guy in interior Sindh order one last month and it landed in five days — I was honestly surprised it got there that fast.
Returns are free if something's wrong with the device. We test every unit before it leaves the warehouse but stuff happens, and we'd rather sort it out quickly than argue about it. Reach out, we'll fix it.
Pair it with a bottle of IVG Intense Salts when you order — saves you a second delivery fee and the flavour combo with the Sq Pro 2 mesh coils is genuinely the best I've tested this quarter. The Blue Raspberry Lemonade in 35mg is what's in my device right now if you want a recommendation.
FAQs
Is the OXVA Sq Pro 2 good for beginners?
Honestly, not really. It works fine for beginners but you're paying for features you won't use at first. If this is your first vape, start with the IVG 8K (Rs.3,999) and move up to the Sq Pro 2 in a few months. You'll appreciate it more.
What e-liquid should I use with it?
Nic salts. 30-50mg if you're a former smoker, 20mg if you've been vaping a while. The IVG Intense Salts range is what I use personally. Don't put freebase juice in this — the coils are designed for salts and you'll waste flavour.
How long do the coils last?
Two to three weeks for me with daily use. Could be longer if you vape less, shorter if you're chaining. You'll know when to change — the flavour goes flat and a slightly burnt note creeps in. Don't push past that, just swap the coil.
Can I charge it with my phone charger?
Yes, any Type-C cable works. It charges fastest with a 2A or higher wall adapter though. Charging from a laptop USB port works but it'll be slower — closer to an hour.
So — anyone tried it yet? Drop me a message if you've got questions before ordering. I read all of them.
