OXVA Xlim Go vs Xlim Pro vs Xlim Pro 2 vs SQ Pro 2: Which One Should You Actually Buy?

Four OXVA pods sitting on my desk right now.

I've been switching between them for the last three weeks because a customer from Faisalabad asked me a simple question — which OXVA should he actually buy? And honestly, I gave him a rambling answer over WhatsApp that didn't really help. So I figured I'd sit down properly and write this out.

The OXVA Xlim line is the most asked-about pod system in our store. Roughly 37% of all pod queries we get on COD orders mention "Xlim" by name. That's wild for one product family. But the issue is OXVA keeps releasing variants — Go, Pro, Pro 2, SQ Pro 2 — and most people can't tell them apart.

Let me fix that.

The Quick Truth About Each One

Start with the OXVA Xlim Go. This is the budget pick at Rs.3,499. It's got a 500mAh battery, draws like a tight MTL (mouth-to-lung), and the pod clicks in magnetically. No buttons. No screen. You inhale, it fires. That's it.

I recommend the Go to anyone switching from cigarettes for the first time. The draw is cigarette-tight, which matters more than people realise. A loose airflow on day one of quitting is what sends people back to Gold Leaf within a week. I've seen it happen.

Then there's the OXVA Xlim Pro at Rs.5,099. Bigger battery (1000mAh), proper adjustable wattage up to 30W, type-C fast charging, and a small screen that tells you what's going on. The pods are refillable, top-fill, and the coil options range from 0.6 to 1.2 ohm. This one's been our bestseller for nearly a year.

The Xlim Pro 2 is the upgrade. Same form factor, mostly — but they bumped the battery feel (still 1000mAh but better chip management), added a slightly bigger screen, and the airflow ring at the bottom is now more precise. Honestly the biggest change is the chipset. Hits harder on the first puff. I noticed it within two days of using one.

And the OXVA SQ Pro 2 — this one's different. Squared-off design, sits flatter in your pocket, and the pod capacity is slightly larger. It's aimed at people who hated how the Xlim Pro felt cylindrical in tight jeans. I used to think the SQ shape was just marketing. I was wrong. It actually does sit better when you're driving through Karachi traffic and the device isn't poking your thigh every time you brake.

Which OXVA Pod Should You Actually Buy?

Look, here's how I break it down for customers calling me directly.

If you're new to vaping and just want something that works — Xlim Go. Done. It's Rs.3,499, the draw is tight, and there's nothing to learn. Charge it, fill it, vape it. The 0.8 ohm pod that comes with it handles nic salts beautifully. Pair it with our IVG Intense Salts at 35mg and you're set for two weeks.

If you've been vaping for a while and you want adjustability — Xlim Pro or Pro 2. The Pro at Rs.5,099 is still the better value in my opinion. The Pro 2 is maybe 8-10% better in actual experience but costs more. Unless you specifically want the newer chipset feel, the original Pro is the smarter buy.

If you carry your device in a front pocket all day (delivery riders, students, anyone moving around a lot) — SQ Pro 2. The flat shape genuinely matters when you're on a bike.

If you're a heavy vaper who wants disposable convenience but with refillable pods — honestly, look at the IVG Pro Pods instead. 10,000+ puffs, 33 flavours, auto-fill. Different category but worth knowing about.

One more thing about the Pro 2 specifically. The pod connection is slightly tighter than the original Pro. I had one customer in Lahore complain his old Xlim Pro pods don't lock as firmly in the Pro 2 device. They're cross-compatible technically, but there's a tiny play in fitment. Not a dealbreaker — just something nobody mentions in the official spec sheet.

Battery, Coils, and the Stuff Nobody Tells You

The Xlim Go's 500mAh will get you through one full working day if you're a moderate vaper. Heavy vapers will need to top up by 4pm. I tested this myself — went from 100% at 9am to about 18% by sunset, hitting it maybe 80-100 times across the day.

The Pro and Pro 2 both have 1000mAh. Realistically that's a day and a half of use. The Type-C charging on both is quick — about 45 minutes from dead to full. Don't believe the "25 minute" marketing claim. In Pakistani heat especially, the device throttles charging speed to protect the battery. Mine consistently took 40-50 minutes.

Coils. Here's where it gets important.

OXVA pods are refillable, which means the coil is built into the pod. You replace the whole pod when the coil dies — usually after 2 to 3 weeks of regular use, sometimes longer if you stick to clear flavours and avoid the really sweet ones. Dessert and custard flavours kill coils faster. That's just physics.

The 0.8 ohm pod is the sweet spot for most people. Tight MTL draw, decent flavour, lasts longer than the 0.6 ohm. The 0.6 ohm gives you more vapour and warmth but eats juice and coils faster. The 1.2 ohm is for people who want an even tighter, almost cigarette-like inhale.

For nic salts (which is what 90% of Pakistani vapers use), stick with 0.8 ohm or 1.2 ohm. The 0.6 will be too warm and burn through your salt nic too fast.

Refilling tip — and this one took me embarrassingly long to figure out. After you fill a pod for the first time, let it sit for 5 minutes before you vape. The wick needs to actually absorb the juice. I used to dry-hit my first pod every single time because I was impatient. Just wait. Make chai. Come back.

Pricing and What Comes in the Box

Xlim Go: Rs.3,499. Device, one pod (0.8 ohm pre-installed), USB-C cable, manual. No spare pod, which is annoying. Buy a 2-pack of replacement pods with it.

Xlim Pro: Rs.5,099. Device, two pods usually (0.6 and 0.8), USB-C cable, lanyard, manual.

Xlim Pro 2: Slightly more than the original Pro. Same accessories, updated firmware.

SQ Pro 2: Similar to Pro 2 pricing. Square form, two pods in the box.

All of these ship across Pakistan with our standard COD setup — Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Multan, Hyderabad, even smaller cities like Sukkur and Mardan. Usually 3-4 days to deliver. You pay when it arrives. If it's dead on arrival, we replace it — no arguments.

My Honest Pick If You Made Me Choose One

Xlim Pro. The original. Rs.5,099.

It's the device I'd hand to my own cousin if he asked. Big enough battery, refillable so you save money long-term (you spend maybe Rs.800-1000 a month on pods and juice vs Rs.3,000-4,000 on disposables), adjustable enough to grow with you, simple enough that you won't get confused on day one.

The Pro 2 is better. But the price-to-improvement ratio doesn't justify it unless you really care about the latest chipset. And the SQ Pro 2 is great if pocket comfort is your priority — but most people won't notice the difference until they own both.

The Go is fine for absolute beginners but you'll outgrow it in three months. I've had at least 40 customers come back to upgrade from a Go to a Pro within their first quarter of vaping. Just skip the Go if you're serious about quitting cigarettes.

FAQs

Are OXVA Xlim pods interchangeable between devices?

Mostly yes. Xlim Pro pods fit the Xlim Pro 2 and SQ Pro 2 with very minor fitment differences. The Xlim Go uses a slightly different pod though, so don't mix those up. Always check the model name printed on the pod base.

How long does an OXVA pod actually last?

Two to three weeks for most people on regular use. Sweet flavours (custard, dessert, candy) burn the coil faster — sometimes in 10 days. Menthol and fruit flavours can stretch a pod to a month. You'll know it's done when the flavour goes muted or burnt.

Can I use freebase e-liquid in an OXVA Xlim?

You can, but it's not what these devices are built for. The Xlim line is tuned for nic salts at 20mg-50mg. Freebase works in the 1.2 ohm pod at lower wattage but the experience isn't great. Stick with salts.

Which OXVA is best for someone quitting cigarettes in Pakistan?

Xlim Go with 35mg or 50mg nic salts. The tight draw mimics a cigarette, the auto-draw means no buttons to fumble with, and Rs.3,499 is low enough to not feel like a huge commitment if vaping doesn't work for you. Most of my customers who successfully quit started here.

Anyway — that's everything I know about the OXVA lineup as of right now. If OXVA releases a Pro 3 next month I'll have to rewrite half this post. So it goes.
