Vaporesso Xros 5 Price in Pakistan: My Honest Take After Two Months

Rs.5,499. That's what the Xros 5 goes for in Pakistan right now.

And honestly, I wasn't planning to write about it. A customer from Gulberg messaged me last week asking if it was worth the money over the Xlim Pro. I typed out this huge reply on WhatsApp, then thought — wait, half my customers probably want to know the same thing.

So here we are.

I've been using the Xros 5 daily for about two months. Switched between it and the OXVA Xlim Pro just to be fair. Below is everything I'd tell a mate who walked into our shop and asked, "Bhai, kya lein?"

What you actually get for Rs.5,499

The Xros 5 is Vaporesso's 5th gen pod. Big jump from the Xros 3. The battery sits at 1000mAh now (up from 1000mAh on the Pro but with better management), and you get a 3ml pod with adjustable airflow on the side. Type-C charging at 2A — so a flat battery goes to full in roughly 45 minutes. I timed it. 47 minutes exactly on my unit.

The screen is small. Shows battery percentage, puff count, and coil resistance. That's it. No fancy menus, no firmware updates to mess with. I actually prefer that.

Coil options are the 0.6 ohm mesh for restricted DL and the 0.8 ohm for tight MTL. Both work with nic salts up to 50mg, which matters because most of my customers in Karachi and Lahore use 30-50mg salts.

Build quality? Solid. Aluminium frame, doesn't feel like a toy. I dropped mine on tile in our Tariq Road shop — small dent, still working perfectly. Pod clicks in with magnets and doesn't leak if you fill it right (more on that in a sec).

Real pros, real cons — what two months told me

The good stuff first.

Flavour off the 0.6 ohm coil is genuinely impressive for a pod this size. I ran some IVG Intense Salts through it (the watermelon ice one) and the top notes came through cleaner than on the Xlim Pro. Surprised me, honestly. I used to recommend the Xlim Pro to almost everyone for flavour — now I'm splitting the recommendation depending on what the customer vapes.

Battery life is the other win. I'm a moderate vaper, maybe 200-250 puffs a day, and I charge it once every day and a half. If you're a heavy chain-vaper hitting 400+ puffs, you'll charge daily. Still acceptable for a pod this compact.

The airflow dial has actual stops. Not that mushy continuous thing where you can never find the same setting twice. Click, click, click — three positions, easy.

Now the not-so-good.

The pods cost Rs.800-900 for a 2-pack and they last me about 7-10 days each depending on the juice. Sweet desserts kill the coil faster — learnt that the hard way with a custard flavour that gunked it up in 4 days. If you vape mostly fruit or menthol, you're fine.

Filling the pod takes practice. The fill port is on the side under a silicone flap and if you overfill (above the max line), you'll get gurgling for the first 10 puffs. I got this wrong the first three times. Fill it 80% and you're golden.

And here's the thing — at Rs.5,499 it's not the cheapest pod we sell. The OXVA Xlim Go at Rs.3,499 does 80% of what the Xros 5 does. So you're paying a premium for the screen, the better battery management, and arguably slightly better flavour.

Is that premium worth it? Depends who you are.

Who should actually buy the Xros 5

Look, I'm not going to pretend everyone needs this device. Here's my honest sorting:

Buy it if: You're moving from cigarettes and want something that lasts all day without babysitting. You like nic salts in the 30-50mg range. You want a refillable pod (not a disposable) because you're trying to save money long-term. You've owned cheaper pods before and they died on you in 3 months — the Xros 5 build quality will outlast those easily.

Also good if you're in a smaller city and getting refills delivered is a hassle. The Xros 5 takes any 30ml bottle of salts, so one bottle of IVG Intense Salts at Rs.2,999 lasts you 3-4 weeks. We do COD across Pakistan — Sukkur, Multan, Abbottabad, the lot — and a single salts order can keep you vaping for a month.

Skip it if: You're brand new to vaping and not sure you'll stick with it. Get a disposable first. Try the IVG 2400 or the IVG 8K at Rs.3,999 — no learning curve, no pods to replace, just vape it and decide if this is for you. Spending Rs.5,499 on a pod kit only to realise you don't enjoy vaping is the worst outcome.

Also skip if you want big clouds. The Xros 5 is an MTL/restricted DL device. It's not built for sub-ohm cloud chasing. If that's your thing, look at proper mods like the Voopoo Argus G3 Mini instead.

And one more — skip it if you're upgrading from an Xros 3 or Xros 4 that still works. The upgrade isn't dramatic enough. Save your money.

Xros 5 vs the obvious alternatives in Pakistan

Quick honest comparison because I get asked this constantly.

Versus the OXVA Xlim Pro (Rs.5,099): Xlim Pro has a slightly better airflow system in my opinion and feels a touch more premium in the hand. Xros 5 has better battery management and a clearer flavour profile on fruits. Coin flip honestly. I tell customers to pick based on the colour they prefer if they can't decide.

Versus the Vaporesso Luxe Q2 SE (Rs.4,499): Luxe Q2 SE is the cheaper Vaporesso option. Smaller battery, no screen, slightly less refined flavour. If Rs.1,000 matters to your budget (and look, it does for a lot of people right now), the Luxe Q2 SE is genuinely fine. You're not missing out massively.

Versus a disposable like the IVG 8K (Rs.3,999): Disposables win on zero-effort. Buy it, vape it, bin it. But you'll buy 4-5 a month if you're a regular vaper. Do the math — that's Rs.16,000-20,000 monthly versus Rs.5,499 once plus Rs.3,000 a month in juice. The Xros 5 pays for itself in about 3 weeks if you switch from disposables.

That last point is the one I wish more people understood. The upfront cost of a refillable system looks scary. But if you vape daily, it's the cheaper option by a huge margin within a month or two.

One quick note on warranty and delivery — we ship the Xros 5 with cash on delivery across Pakistan. 4 day shipping usually, sometimes 3 to Karachi and Lahore. Free returns if the unit's defective on arrival. We don't do the dodgy thing where the box arrives sealed but the device inside is a knockoff — every unit we sell comes from authorised Vaporesso channels and you can scratch the authenticity code on the box yourself.

FAQs people actually ask me

Is the Xros 5 good for someone quitting cigarettes?

Yes, genuinely. The MTL draw on the 0.8 ohm coil mimics a cigarette pull closely. Pair it with 30mg or 50mg salts depending on how many cigs you smoked. A pack-a-day smoker usually needs 50mg to feel satisfied in the first few weeks, then drops to 30mg later.

How long do the pods actually last?

7 to 10 days each with normal vaping if you stick to fruit or menthol flavours. Sweet dessert juices clog the coil faster — sometimes only 4-5 days. A 2-pack lasts most people about 2-3 weeks. Stock up when you order.

Can I use any juice in it?

Salts up to 50mg work great. You can technically use freebase juice but the high resistance coils aren't designed for it — flavour will be muted and you'll burn through coils faster. Stick to salts. The IVG Intense Salts range works perfectly with it, that's what I use in mine.

What if it stops working after a few months?

Honestly, the device itself should last you well over a year with normal use. If a coil dies, that's a Rs.400 fix (new pod). If the actual device fails within a reasonable time and it's not water damage or drop damage, message us — we sort it out. We're not a faceless website, my number is on the contact page and I personally answer messages most days.

So that's the Xros 5 in Pakistan. Would I buy it with my own money if I wasn't the founder? Probably yes, but I'd genuinely hesitate between this and the Xlim Pro. Both are excellent. The Xros 5 wins on battery management and screen, the Xlim Pro wins on hand feel.

Which one would you go for?
