Xlim Pro vs Xlim Pro 2: Honest Take From Someone Who's Sold Both

The first Xlim Pro outsold every other pod we stocked last year. By a lot.

I'm talking roughly 3 to 1 against the next closest competitor. So when OXVA dropped the Xlim Pro 2, my honest first reaction was — why? The original wasn't broken. It hit well, the battery lasted, the pods didn't leak much. Customers in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad kept reordering. We had a good thing going.

Then I actually used the Pro 2 for two weeks straight. And now I'm telling people to upgrade. Even the ones who didn't ask.

Let me walk you through why.

What actually changed (and what didn't)

Look, on paper the Xlim Pro 2 doesn't read like a huge jump. Same 1000mAh battery. Same form factor more or less. Same pod compatibility for the most part. If you're skimming a spec sheet you'd shrug.

But the changes that matter aren't the ones on the box.

The original Xlim Pro came in at Rs.5,099 and ran a smart chip that recognised your pod resistance and adjusted output. Good system. Solid for 2023. The Pro 2 takes that chip and actually makes it useful — there's a small screen now that shows you wattage, puff count, battery percentage in actual numbers instead of a sad little LED guessing game. I used to think screens on pods were gimmicky. I was wrong. Once you've seen exact battery percentage, going back to three blinking lights feels like reading time off a sundial.

Airflow is the bigger story though. The first Pro had adjustable airflow via a ring at the base. Fine. The Pro 2 redesigned the airflow channel itself, so even on the same setting you're getting a smoother draw. Less of that whistle some of our customers complained about on tighter MTL settings. I had one guy in Rawalpindi who returned his original Pro because the airflow whistled at night and woke his wife. Sent him a Pro 2 last month. He's still using it.

Charging got bumped too — Type-C still, but the Pro 2 takes a full charge in around 38 minutes versus the original's 45-ish. Not life-changing. But if you're the kind of person who plugs in during a tea break, it matters.

And the build. Honestly the original felt premium. The Pro 2 feels... I don't know how else to say it... tighter? The buttons have less wobble. The pod clicks in with more authority. Small things. But you notice them every time you pick it up.

Xlim Pro 2 price in Pakistan and where it actually sits in the market

Here's where I have to be straight with you. The Pro 2 retails at Rs.5,499 with us — that's Rs.400 more than the original Xlim Pro at Rs.5,099. Some of our resellers are pushing it higher. Don't pay over Rs.5,800 for it, you're getting taken.

Now Rs.400 isn't nothing. That's lunch for two at a decent place. So the question becomes — is it worth the bump?

For a brand new buyer, yes. Easy yes. You're already spending five and a half thousand on a device you'll use every day for months. The extra Rs.400 buys you the screen, the better airflow, the faster charge. Spread that over a year of use and it's basically free.

For someone who already owns the original Pro and it's working fine? Honestly, hold off. Use yours till the battery starts giving up (usually 8 to 14 months depending on how hard you charge it) and then upgrade. No shame in that. I still use my original Pro at the office because it lives in a drawer and I don't need the screen there.

If you're cross-shopping other pods in this price range, here's how I'd think about it. The OXVA Xlim Go at Rs.3,499 is the budget play — simpler, no screen, slightly smaller battery. Great if you've never owned a pod before and want to test the waters. The Voopoo Argus G3 Mini at Rs.3,199 has more battery (1350mAh) but bulkier in the pocket. The Vaporesso Luxe Q2 SE at Rs.4,499 is the closest competitor on price but uses a different pod system entirely and the flavour pool is smaller in Pakistan.

What I've found after stocking all of these — the Xlim ecosystem just has the best pod variety available locally. You can walk into our store, order COD to almost any city, and have five different pod resistance options to mess with. That ecosystem matters more than the spec sheet differences once you've owned the device for a few months.

Who should actually buy the Pro 2 (and who shouldn't)

I'll be honest. Not everyone needs this upgrade. I'd rather sell you the right thing than the expensive thing.

Buy the Pro 2 if: you're new to pods and want something you'll grow into, you vape more than a pack equivalent a day and you'll appreciate the screen showing battery percentage, you're picky about draw quality and tighter MTL feels matter to you, or you just want the current best version of a device line that's earned its reputation. The screen alone is the kind of thing that sounds dumb until you have it. Then you wonder how you managed without.

Skip it if: you already own the original Xlim Pro and it's holding up, you're a casual vaper who hits the device five times a day and doesn't care about granular battery info, or you're on a tight budget and the Xlim Go would honestly serve you just as well.

One more thing on the pod side — the Pro 2 still uses the standard Xlim V3 pod range, so if you've already stocked up on pods for an original Pro, those work. That alone saved me from pulling my hair out. Imagine releasing a sequel device with incompatible pods. OXVA didn't do that. Respect.

For nic salt, I've been pairing it with IVG Intense Salts at Rs.2,999 for the 30ml bottle. The 35mg works beautifully through the 0.8 ohm pods. The 55mg if you want a heavier throat hit through the 1.0 ohm. I used to recommend 50mg as the default but I've come around to 35mg being the better daily driver for most people — less harsh, lasts longer in the bottle because you don't pull as hard.

We deliver nationwide via COD — usually 3 to 4 working days to major cities, sometimes 5 if you're in a smaller town in Balochistan or interior Sindh. Free returns if the device arrives faulty (rare, but it happens). I'd rather you message us and sort it than be stuck with something that doesn't work.

FAQs people keep asking me

Is the Xlim Pro 2 worth it over the original if I already own one?

Probably not yet. Use yours till it shows signs of battery fade — shorter sessions per charge, slower hits, that kind of thing. Then upgrade. You're not missing life-changing features, you're missing nice-to-haves.

What's the Xlim Pro 2 price in Pakistan and is it available with COD?

Rs.5,499 from us at ivapegreat.com.pk, COD available to pretty much anywhere in Pakistan. Avoid sellers asking over Rs.5,800 — you're being overcharged. Delivery's typically 3 to 4 days to Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Multan. A bit longer to smaller towns.

Are Xlim Pro pods compatible with the Xlim Pro 2?

Yes. Standard Xlim V3 pod range works on both. If you've already invested in pods, you're not starting over.

How long does the battery actually last in real use?

For me, full day of moderate use — say 150 to 200 puffs — gets through the day comfortably. Heavy vapers might need to top up by evening. The 38-minute charge time means a quick plug-in during dinner gets you sorted for the night.

So that's my take. Was the Pro 2 the upgrade we begged OXVA for? No. Was it the one we needed? Honestly — kind of, yeah. Now I'm curious which one you'll actually go for...
