Xlim: The Device Name Everyone Types Wrong (And What You Actually Want)
Slim. Xlime. X-Lim. Exlim.
I get these searches every single week. A guy in Karachi messaged me last Tuesday asking for the “Oxva Slim” — and I knew exactly what he meant. He'd seen it at a friend's place, loved the hit, forgot the name. Happens constantly.
The device is OXVA Xlim. Pronounced “ex-lim”. Not slim, not zlim, not whatever autocorrect is doing to you. And honestly? I don't blame anyone for typing it wrong. The branding is weird. But the device itself is one of the best pod systems we sell at ivapegreat.com.pk, so let's actually talk about which Xlim you want and why.
Because there's more than one. That's the other thing nobody tells you.
So which Xlim are you actually after?
OXVA makes a whole family. Xlim Pro, Xlim Go, Xlim SQ Pro, Xlim V3 — and the names overlap enough that even I mix them up sometimes when I'm typing fast. I used to recommend the original Xlim to everyone. Now I don't. The newer ones are just better in every way that matters.
Let's start with the one most people end up buying: the OXVA Xlim Pro. Rs.5,099 on our site. It's got a 1000mAh battery, which sounds normal until you realise how efficient this thing is — I charge mine maybe once a day, sometimes I forget and it still has juice the next morning. There's a small screen on it. Adjustable wattage. Type-C fast charging. The pods are refillable, so you're not throwing away plastic every two days like with disposables.
Then there's the OXVA Xlim Go at Rs.3,499. This is the one I push for first-time pod buyers. No screen, no settings, just a single button and a light. It's pocketable, it's quiet, and roughly 6 out of every 10 customers who switch from disposables to a refillable system land here. The Go was originally my “budget pick” recommendation but honestly it punches above its price. The hit is clean. The flavour holds up.
If you're someone who values screens and tweaks and wants to feel like you've got control over your hits, get the Pro. If you just want something that works, looks clean, fits in your jeans pocket, and doesn't require thinking — get the Go.
Why people keep coming back to the Xlim (and the small annoyances)
Here's the thing — I sell a lot of pod systems. Voopoo Argus G3 Mini at Rs.3,199. Vaporesso Luxe Q2 SE at Rs.4,499. Good devices, all of them. But the Xlim has this loyal-customer thing happening that I don't fully see with the others.
Part of it is the draw. The Xlim has what people call a tight MTL draw — mouth-to-lung, like a cigarette pull. If you smoked before vaping, this feels familiar. The Argus is similar but slightly looser. The Luxe Q2 SE is more of an all-rounder. The Xlim just feels like a cigarette replacement in a way I find hard to explain unless you've used one.
Pods last roughly 5 to 7 refills before the flavour starts dropping off. That's industry standard, more or less, but the Xlim pods seem to hold flavour a little longer than most. I've had a customer in Lahore tell me he got 9 refills out of one pod before swapping. Could be the salt he was using, could be how he stored it. But still.
What I don't love: the magnetic pod connection can get a bit weak after a few months of heavy use. If you drop the device, sometimes the pod pops out. Not a deal-breaker, just something to know. Also the airflow ring on the Pro is small — if you've got chunky fingers, adjusting it is fiddly. I got this wrong at first, used to tell people the airflow was perfect for everyone. It's not. People with bigger hands often prefer devices with side-button airflow control.
The other thing — and I think this matters in Pakistan especially — is that the Xlim handles our heat reasonably well. I've had it sitting in a car in Karachi in May, and it still fired fine when I came back to it. Some pod systems get gunky or leak when they overheat. The Xlim doesn't, mostly. I say mostly because nothing is heat-proof and if you leave any vape in 50°C for hours, expect issues.
What about juice? You can't have a pod without juice
This is where people get tripped up. Refillable pod, fine — but what do you put in it?
For Xlim devices, you want nicotine salts. Not freebase. Salt nicotine is smoother, hits faster, and matches the low-wattage MTL style the Xlim is built for. We stock IVG Intense Salts in 35mg and 55mg, Rs.2,999 for a 30ml bottle. That bottle will last you weeks if you're a moderate vaper. Longer if you're not chain-vaping.
35mg is for people who used to smoke a light cigarette or who vape consistently throughout the day. 55mg is for ex-heavy smokers or anyone who wants a stronger throat hit per puff. Honestly, most of our Pakistan customers go for 35mg because 55mg can feel harsh if you're not used to it. Start low. You can always go higher.
Flavours — I'm biased because we're the IVG store, but the Intense Salts range hits properly. Blue raspberry, mango, the classic tobaccos. If you're switching from disposables like the IVG 8K (8000 puffs, 35mg, Rs.3,999) to a refillable pod, the Intense Salts let you basically recreate that same flavour profile but cheaper per ml.
That's the maths people miss. A disposable like the 8K gives you 8000 puffs. A 30ml bottle of salt nic in your Xlim Pro? Probably 12,000 to 15,000 puffs depending on your settings. So Rs.2,999 for juice + your one-time Xlim Pro purchase ends up cheaper over 3-4 weeks than buying disposables back-to-back. I ran the numbers for a customer once and he switched the same day.
Getting one delivered in Pakistan (the boring but important bit)
We ship anywhere in Pakistan. Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Multan, Faisalabad, Hyderabad — even smaller cities like Sukkur, Bahawalpur, Mardan. Cash on delivery. You don't pay until the courier hands you the box and you've confirmed it's the right thing. We've sent Xlims to villages outside Larkana before. The courier network reaches further than people think.
Delivery is usually 3-4 days. Sometimes 2 if you're in a major city and order early in the day. Returns are free if something's wrong — I'd rather replace a device than argue with a customer about it.
One last thing. People ask me if the Xlim is “original” when they buy from us. Yes. We're an authorised seller. There are fake Xlims floating around — they're usually a few hundred rupees cheaper, the battery dies in two weeks, and the pods leak from day one. If a price seems too low, it probably is. I've seen knock-offs that even copy the OXVA logo nearly perfectly. The giveaway is usually the packaging — fakes have slightly off colours and the scratch-off authenticity code either doesn't work or leads to a dead webpage.
Check the box. Scratch the code. Verify on OXVA's site. Done.
Quick FAQ
Is the Xlim Pro worth Rs.5,099 over the Go at Rs.3,499?
Depends. If you like adjusting wattage and want a screen, yes. If you just want to vape and not think about it, save the Rs.1,600 and get the Go. Both use the same pods so you're not locked out of anything by going cheaper.
How long do Xlim pods last before needing replacement?
Around 5 to 7 refills. You'll notice when it's time — flavour gets muted, sometimes you get a faint burnt taste. Don't keep using a dying pod, you'll just waste juice.
Can I use the Xlim with freebase e-liquid instead of salts?
You can. But I wouldn't. The Xlim is designed for low-wattage MTL vaping, which works best with salt nic. Freebase at low wattage tastes weak and gives almost no nicotine. If you want freebase, you want a different device entirely.
What's the battery life actually like?
The Pro's 1000mAh lasts me a full day of moderate use — maybe 200-300 puffs. Heavy vapers might need to charge by evening. The Go is similar. Type-C charging takes about 45 minutes from empty to full.
Does OXVA make anything better than the Xlim?
Honestly, in the pod category at this price? Not really. They make bigger mod-style devices but those are a different category. For pure pod systems in the Rs.3,000-5,000 range, the Xlim line is what I'd recommend even if I didn't sell it.
So — Pro or Go? Which one are you leaning toward?
